Ted Danson reveals shocking way life humbled him

Ted Danson recently got candid and opened up about how life humbled him in unexpected ways.

On Wednesday, May 6, Danson hosted Valerie Bertinelli on his podcast Where Everybody Knows Your Name, where he reflected on a recent health scare that made him question his own mortality.

The 78-year-old American actor told Bertinelli, “I had a bit of a health scare. I’m totally fine, but it was like, ‘Oh, that’s real.’”

“And it was humbling,” he admitted, adding, “Mortality is the real deal, you know. It’s not just a rumour. Ted Danson doesn’t get a free pass. Love his work, but…”

Danson went on to confess that he was completely shocked after learning about his health scare, especially considering the fact that he “hadn’t f****** up in some way.”

“It was very humbling and calming, and I’m fine. I think it was the best thing that could have happened to me, and I’m doing some things differently,” he quipped.

It is pertinent to mention that The Good Place star and his wife, Mary Steenburgen, have started doing meditation two times in a day, which turned out to be the “biggest gift” for him.

“What it’s done for me, the biggest gift of all: You can be curious about other people. You can listen, you can be supportive, caring, you can witness them. And I do believe that the rest of my life is to be curious and listen. That’s the best thing I can offer,” Ted Danson said.
