The Fighting Irish are rolling thanks to a late interception
No. 16 Notre Dame is starting to put the North Carolina State Wolfpack away.
That’s thanks in part to a Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa interception.
It was third-and-3 for the Wolfpack when CJ Bailey forced a pass under duress with no one open. Linebacker Viliamu-Asa picked off the pass and nearly returned it for a touchdown.
As it was, it was a 20-yard return to the Wolfpack 14.
Following the pick, the Irish would fumble the ball away at the goal line, but Bailey then fumbled in the end zone for a safety.
