Khloé Kardashian has recalled her first — and only — experience at Coachella, where she claims she was accidentally “drugged.”
The reality star, 41, attended the popular Southern California music festival in 2015, when AC/DC, Jack White and Drake headlined.
Opening up about her trip to the desert festival on Wednesday’s episode of her Khloé in Wonder Land podcast, Kardashian admitted: “It wasn’t the best experience. I got drugged without me knowing, but I think everyone knew.
“I don’t think anyone drugged me,” she clarified, adding, “I just think I was the dumb one and didn’t realize that everyone was on drugs and I remember drinking this drink and just feeling really crazy. No one wants to feel like that and not know why they’re like that.”
She remembered being so scared that she locked herself in the bathroom for hours. “I was in my head. I was so scared, so my experience was not good,” Kardashian continued.
“I just didn’t realize what was happening until after it happened, that I was on drugs,” she said. “Everyone was yelling at me because I wouldn’t get out of the bathroom.”
While the Good American co-founder has only attended the festival once, her four sisters — Kourtney, Kim, Kendall, and Kylie – are considered regular Coachella fixtures. All four enjoyed the most recent event last month, which featured headliners Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter and Karol G.
Kourtney hosted a luxurious Coachella wellness retreat under her lifestyle brand Poosh, which was briefly “destroyed” by a sandstorm. Meanwhile, Kendall’s 818 Tequila brand threw an exclusive VIP event; Kim was spotted enjoying Bieber’s set with boyfriend, Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton; and Kylie attended both weekends.
“It’s probably the first year ever I’ve had FOMO from Coachella, because I genuinely couldn’t care less,” Kardashian told her mom, Kris Jenner, on a previous podcast episode. “But I’ve never had any Coachella where all [my] sisters are there. I was the only one not there.”
She said she considered going just for Bieber’s performance, but wasn’t able to go the first weekend because it was her daughter True’s birthday weekend. Kardashian shares True, 8, with her ex-boyfriend, NBA player Tristan Thompson. They also share son Tatum, 3.
Kardashian was previously married to former NBA player Lamar Odom from 2009 to 2016, during which he suffered a near-fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel in 2015. Kardashian had initially filed for divorce in 2013, but the divorce was temporarily paused in 2015 during Odom’s medical recovery.
