The Georgia Lady Bulldogs were defeated by the Kentucky Wildcats in the second-round of the SEC Tournament by a final score of 76-61.
Georgia was unable to stop the Wildcats consistently. Both teams were strong on the offensive end of the floor, as star Georgia guard Dani Carnegie recorded a team-high 18 points in the loss. Kentucky’s Clara Strack poured in 33 points in the Wildcats’ win.

Georgia could still make a postseason run during the NCAA Tournament later this month, as the Lady Bulldogs will now turn their full attention towards March Madness following the loss to Kentucky.

Georgia is currently projected to be a seven seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs will undoubtedly be a tough matchup for any opposing team in the tournament, as Georgia could quickly find themselves making an impressive run when March Madness begins on the 18th. The Lady Bulldogs will undoubtedly hear their name called during selection Sunday on March 15th.
Georgia have an overall record of 22-9, as the Lady Bulldogs will look to make a statement during March Madness later this month. Georgia is will likely be in a toss-up first-round NCAA Tournament game and then underdogs against a high seed if they win.
