The Washington Commanders are set to unveil new uniforms this week for the first time since the franchise’s rebrand in 2022. Washington is the latest NFL franchise to reveal a new look this offseason, with an official release set for Wednesday, April 15.
While the official release is in under 24 hours, there have been leaks making the rounds online.

There have been no official leaks, but there is speculation that the new uniforms will feature a modern twist with some classic elements. Last season, the Commanders unveiled a “Super Bowl-era throwback” uniform that featured the old burgundy and yellow color scheme that was previously worn, and fans are hoping that those elements return — especially a yellow facemask.

One aspect of the Commanders’ latest rebrand that has been confirmed is a new alternate logo, which features the team’s block “W” logo, with a spear through the middle. It brings back an element of the classic Redskins uniforms that fans are craving.
Zach Cohen of FanDuel, who has previously confirmed NFL uniform leaks like the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons, shared a photo of a sweatshirt with the alternate logo. Cohen adds that the team will introduce a new burgundy jersey and an updated black uniform.
The logo is nothing groundbreaking, but it fits right into the “modern twist on a classic” theme that has been running rampant throughout the league in recent rebrands.

The 2026 NFL Draft will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from Thursday, April 23, through Saturday, April 25.
