Just days before its first show, the hype for Kelly Clarkson’s Vegas residency now reaches an all-time high. Inside the rehearsal studio, the popstar gave fans an inky, black-and-white sneak-peek. The photo shows musicians dotted around the sprawling theater stage, presumably ready now on cue with their own instruments; an apparent count-off was probably given by the guy at the keyboards, somewhere in-between! And away on the other end were empty seats- soon to be packed with loud cheering fans shouting out “5 days till Vegas!” Clarkson captioned it, and the frenzy that followed put every follower into a countdown.

That comment section turned into an online waiting room as fans had the days of the month marked on their calendars and started throwing in the song requests. One user joked the countdown was happening with champagne emojis while another remarked that originally they were planning for the November show and have just moved it up. The hype is absolutely real by now.
Others were getting straight to business, though, demanding Kellyoke. “Where do we submit our Vegas Kellyoke requests, Mama?” one fan asked, tagging Clarkson’s music director, while another hopped in: “what will it take to get Happier Than Ever on the setlist?” that sparked others to throw in fake currency offers. “I’ll throw in $20,” one person volunteered. That’s what we expect.
Join the chorus of global support! “From Mexico all the way!” said one commenter, ready to see multiple shows. In the meantime, a Brazilian comment went: “Come to Brazil.” Global demand is very desperate.
An entire floor of chaotic energy was generated by one user who just typed out “EEEEEEeeeeeee” before announcing they were going to every opening alike AND the next evening “cus why not.” A wildeyed devotion no artist could pray for.
With the Vegas stint making life hotter than it could wear, those rehearsal teasers were just more fuel on the fire. From the atmospheric photo and the wild mixture of excitement in the comment section, you could safely conclude that this is a residency about to become history. Kelly is going to bring those big-gun vocals down on that stage along with some seriously relatable charm, whether you catch her there on Independence Day or later. And based on those comments, it’s safe to say the crowds might as well bring their energy with them-how good can the official energy be?
The countdown has started; the band is rehearsing, and so far, the internet has lost all sanity. Vegas better prepare thorough because Clarkson is about to take over the strip for what might well be the must-see show of summer. Five days never felt this long before.
