The NFL announced that all 32 teams will have players announcing their selections on Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft next Friday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter was among those who revealed the list on Thursday. Some teams will be represented by current players, but a majority of teams will be represented by legendary players from years past.
The Bears will be represented by Hall of Fame offensive lineman Jimbo Covert, who spent his entire eight-year career in Chicago. From 1983 to 1990, Covert played in 111 games, making two Pro Bowls and two All-Pro appearances with the team. He also notably served as the team’s starting left tackle during their Super Bowl run in 1985, playing in 15 of their 16 games in the regular season.
