Prior to the big Williamson concert at Madison Square Garden, Favre and Wallen came out to perform. It was called a “special moment,” in a post that brought about both heated praise and criticism. The sight of Favre and Wallen being side by side was enough to declare that Favre was very fit and the biggest ear-to-ear smile was plastered on his face.

Favre wrote: “I already was a fan of Morgan Wallen music. Him bringing me on stage was a special moment. I always appreciate the support of people like him and that of the fans.” It was a post that got flooded with answers, from nostalgic football fans to those dredging up past controversies about either of the men.
Some lauded the show. A follower said: “It was one of my favorite moments in life that the concert and seeing you could ever offer!!” Another poked fun: “Quickly looking at that first picture I thought you were two guys who owned a pizza place.” More football fans continued to reminisce about the good old days of Favre, with one commenting, “Always appreciate the 2009 Vikings season. Went to the playoff game, San Fran game was awesome. Legendary season from you Brett.”
However, there were equal parts of the crowd jeering at the duo. Among them were those referencing Favre’s issue about Mississippi welfare funds, stating, “Payback the money you stole from your poor neighbors you disgusting grifter.” Another one sarcastically said, “Not bad for a creep,” to which number three quipped, “Does he know you like to steal from poor people?”
Morgan Wallen was again a target. Back in 2021 there was already a spotlight on him due to the video of him using the racial slur. One critic wrote, “Uhhhh, he used the N-word against one of his white friends! If you chose to support a man who uses racial slurs against people those slurs are not applicable to, then I don’t need you.” Another comment read: “Nice to see Morgan Wallen is not only racist but approving of stealing money from charities.”
A political commentary followed shortly: “When did you become a MAGA cult member? What happened?” Meanwhile, the conversation took a turn toward Favre’s physique: “Brett got those TRT arms,” and “Brett, you look like you could suit up tomorrow!”
The mixed reactions speak of the boxed legacy the latter has had since retiring. Some still see him as the gunslinging quarterback whose every snap was magic in that lime, while others just cannot get past the off-field controversies that seem to have followed him into retirement. For Wallen, his teaming with Favre for some presentations seemed to only fuel the already polarizing opinion that surrounded both personalities.

Be it nostalgia, criticism, or a pizza parlor joke, Favre is probably still the most controversial name in the country today.
