    The United States announced it retaliated to Iran’s downing of a U.S. Army Apache helicopter by attacking Iranian air defense, ground control stations and surveillance radar sites near the Strait of Hormuz. Iran claims it returned fired with 21 attacks against U.S. military targets across the Middle East. NBC’s Richard Engel reports for TODAY.
