The Penguins are heading back to Philadelphia for a do-or-die Game 6 against the Flyers.

After dropping the first three games of the series, the Penguins have rattled off two straight wins to avoid elimination. Pittsburgh is looking to become the fifth team in NHL history to pull off a reverse sweep and first squad to complete a 3-0 comeback since the 2013-14 Kings.
A victory on Wednesday night would send the series back to Pittsburgh for a winner-take-all Game 7. Can the Pens keep their Stanley Cup dream alive?

10:00 p.m.:Â There’s 1:16 remaining in regulation in Game 6 of the Battle of Pennsylvania.
It’s fair to say next goal wins.
9:58 p.m.:Â Bryan Rust walked in front with the puck, made a few moves, but Vladar’s pad keeps the puck out. It’s a great save to keep the game scoreless.
9:57 p.m.:Â Tommy Novak came inches away from giving the Penguins the lead, but his shot rings off the crossbar and out.
There’s now four minutes remaining in the third.
9:50 p.m.:Â Noah Cates forces a turnover then fires a shot, but it’s saved by Silovs. Then, on the other end, Anthony Mantha’s shot is turned away by Vladar.

There’s just over six minutes left in regulation.
9:48 p.m.:Â It’s a good chance for the Penguins, with both Letang and Malkin getting shots that are saved by Vladar.
Pittsburgh has had some time in the offensive zone as of late, needing a win to extend the series.
9:47 p.m.:Â We’re down to 8:43 left in regulation and the game still a stalemate.
Who will make the game-deciding play?
9:44 p.m.:Â Michkov brings the puck across the blue line and shoots from left to right, but Silovs flashes the glove to keep the game scoreless.
Teams are tied in shots, 24-24.
9:40 p.m.:Â With so much on the line, it feels like overtime here in what’s been the tightest game of the series.

We head to the commercial break with 12:09 remaining in the period, with a faceoff coming up in the Flyers zone.
9:37 p.m.:Â Five minutes in and both the Flyers and Penguins haven’t found the breakthrough.
Vladar just made another save on the Penguins attack, and after an icing Pittsburgh will have a faceoff in the offensive zone.
9:31 p.m.:Â Pittsburgh kills off the power play, allowing just one shot on goal and the teams are back to even strength.
9:29 p.m.:Â It’s time for the third period.
Both the Penguins and Flyers are looking for the first goal of the game as we enter the final frame. Philadelphia will start the period on the power play.

End of the second period: Penguins 0, Flyers 0
9:09 p.m.:Â The Flyers get some great chances, but it’s the Arturs Silovs show in the second half of the period. He makes every save thrown at him as the puck is thrown down the ice and time expires in the period.
It’s 0-0 heading to the third period in the Battle of the Pennsylvania, with both teams not budging in front of their net. After the buzzer, Kris Letang took a penalty and will begin the third in the box, a brutal blow for Pittsburgh.

9:03 p.m.:Â Matvei Michkov, who was a healthy scratch last game, gets a breakaway chance but Silovs makes the save.
There’s been over five minutes of gameplay without a stoppage before Michkov gets a chance on a stuff-in attempt, but it’s covered up by the goaltender.

9:01 p.m.:Â As the game goes under the six-minute mark in the second, both teams are still looking for the first goal.
Silovs just made a save on a Travis Sanheim deflection before the puck is played out of the zone.
8:54 p.m.:Â Halfway through and the game is still 0-0.
Shots are 17-14 Pittsburgh.
8:51 p.m.:Â Christian Dvorak gets the puck shorthanded and goes around the goal, then goes far-post but it’s saved by Silovs.
Then, on the other end, Egor Chinakhov rattles one off the post and the puck stays out.
8:49 p.m.: The Penguins are heading back to the power play, with Luke Glendening getting called for slashing.

With 14:26 remaining in the middle frame, Pittsburgh will have its second man advantage.
8:47 p.m.:Â After a Flyers icing, there’s a stoppage in play and Dan Muse is justifiably upset.
The Flyers skaters were tired, and now they got some rest.
8:41 p.m.:Â Philadelphia almost broke the tie, but the puck can’t get into the net even with all the chaos in front of Silovs.
8:38 p.m.:Â The second period is off in Philadelphia.
It’s a scoreless affair so fair.

8:20 p.m.:Â It’s scoreless at the end of one.
While both teams had their chances, Vladar and Silovs made the saves necessary. Pittsburgh holds the shot advantage 12-11, and both teams are 0-for-1 on the power play.

8:14 p.m.:Â Pittsburgh is back to full strength after limiting Philadelphia to just one shot on the power play.
The Penguins also had a shorthanded opportunity, with Dewar getting right in front of Vladar but can’t get the puck past the Flyers goaltender.
8:09 p.m.:Â Now, Philadelphia will get its first opportunity on the man advantage. Noel Acciari is heading to the box for a slashing penalty.
8:08 p.m.:Â The Flyers kill off the power play, and Pittsburgh is now 3-for-18 on the man advantage in the series.
