Victoria Beckham has broken her silence over her son Brooklyn Beckham‘s scathing statement about the family’s feud earlier this year.
The eldest son of Victoria and husband David Beckham shared an extraordinary spray across six Instagram stories, making a number of allegations against his famous parents and exposing cracks in their seemingly perfect family life.
Now, the family matriarch – who was accused by her son of dancing inappropriately with him at his wedding – made her first comments about the fallout and her relationship with her four kids.
“I think that we’ve always — we love our children so much,” she told The Wall Street Journal during an interview about her self-titled fashion and cosmetic brands.
“We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children.
“And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it.”
She said parenting kids as they get older and become young adults is “very different from having little children” and the couple are “trying to do the best we can”.

When asked if she thinks the negative press she’s received since the bombshell statement was made in January has impacted business, Victoria said her brand is more than the Beckham name.
“I think that ultimately people are buying my product because the product is really good,” she told the publication.
“I don’t think they’re buying my eyeliner just because it’s me.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the former Spice Girl spoke about how proud she is that her son Cruz is working his way up through the music industry and gushed about teenager daughter Harper.
The couple’s third son, Romeo, who is following in his dad’s footsteps as a footballer, didn’t get a mention.
Brooklyn’s damning statement was partly issued in defence of his wife Nicola Peltz, whom he says copped “endless attacks” in the press.
He alleges the stories were planted by his parents, who he says tried to break them up before their 2022 nuptials.
He claimed a number of disasters linked to their wedding left his bride in tears ahead of and on the big day, prompting them to renew their vows last August without his family present.

The aspiring chef claimed he had been “controlled by my parents for most of my life” and said he does not want to reconcile with them, allegedly devastating David and Victoria.
Despite a cease and desist legal letter from Brooklyn for his parents to stop mentioning him on social media, David couldn’t help but publicly reach out on his birthday.
But so far, nothing’s come of the olive branch, although it’s understood they’ve offered to meet “on his terms” several times over the past few months.
