The second weekend of Coachella is underway and as part of her ‘Sabchella’ headline performance, pop princess Sabrina Carpenter was joined on stage by none other than the Queen of Pop – Madonna.
During her iconic track ‘Juno’, where Sabrina usually strikes a pose after asking ‘Have you ever tried this one?’, the song cut to Madonna’s hit ‘Vogue’ instead, allowing the global superstar to make her grand entrance.
The pair performed ‘Vogue’, ‘Like a Prayer’ and ‘Get Together’, along with a track from Madonna’s upcoming album Confessions II. She also shared her delight at being back on the Coachella stage on the 20th anniversary of her first appearance at the festival.
“So 20 years ago today I performed at Coachella,” said Madonna. “I was in the dance tent and it was the first time I performed Confessions on a Dance Floor Pt. 1 in America, and that was such a thrill for me, so you can imagine what a thrill it is to be back 20 years later in the same boots, with the same corset, the jacket I had on earlier, a Gucci jacket. So it’s like a full circle moment, you know? Very meaningful for me.”

Confessions II
Earlier this week, Madonna announced that she is returning to the dancefloor with the upcoming release of Confessions II, the follow-up to her career-defining 2005 record Confessions on a Dance Floor.
Teaming up with British producer Stuart Price once more, the record is set to be a celebration of the importance of the dance floor. It’s a place for freedom but also for connection with like-minded people. The pair had the following manifesto in mind when creating the album.
‘We must dance, celebrate, and pray with our bodies. These are things that we’ve been doing for thousands of years — they really are spiritual practices. After all, the dance floor is a ritualistic space. It’s a place where you connect
—with your wounds, with your fragility. To rave is an art. It’s about pushing your limits and
connecting to a community of like-minded people.
Sound, light, and vibration
Reshape our perceptions
Pulling us into a trance-like state.
The repetition of the bass, we don’t just hear it but we feel it.
Altering our consciousness and dissolving ego and time.‘
The first track, ‘I Feel So Free’, is available to download and stream now.
Confessions On A Dancefloor: Part II is set to be released Friday, July 3rd 2026 and is available to pre-order now.
