Hazel Renee is opening up about postpartum life after welcoming a new child with Draymond Green.
In a recent post, the new mom shared that she chose to take 40 days to rest following the birth of their baby.
“Why 40 days?! Well because postpartum is sacred! I respect my body and its healing power! I am intentional with my rest, nourishment, bonding with my new little one, me staying covered, establishing a fire pump/nursing schedule, allowing my body to constantly adjust. We women are incredible!”
She kept her message honest as she described the realities of slowing down. “But on the flip side… ya girl had cabin fever and to know me is to know stillness is hardddddd for me to do but I looove slowing down to embrace a moment in time that goes by super fast! So this was this first thing my oldest said we doin my first day back out-all the dances.”
Hazel and Green blended their families early in their relationship. She is mom to Olive, while Green shares a son, Draymond Jr. The couple also share daughters Cash, 5, and Hunni, 2, along with their newborn.
In a separate post, Hazel shared more about the hours leading up to the birth. She revealed that she was already in early labor when she decided to record one of the videos posted online.
“Fun fact: I was in early labor and having mild contractions when I decided this would be a good time for this 😂 (first video),” she wrote, adding that Draymond, whom she referred to as “D,” stayed by her side and filmed as they prepared to leave.
She said another clip was recorded around 3 a.m., when both of them were exhausted. Hazel noted that she woke him up to capture the moment, and although he was tired, he followed through.
“The reality is… God is so good to me and our growing family,” she added in another message welcoming their baby home.
The couple has not shared many details about their newborn.
