    Days of Our Lives, Starship Troopers star Patrick Muldoon dies suddenly at 57

    Renowned drama and soap opera actor Patrick Muldoon has died suddenly at the age of 57.

    It’s believed he suffered a heart attack, according to entertaiment publication Deadline.

    Born in California, he was best known for his role in the US drama Days of Our Lives, where he portrayed Austin Reed.

    He also starred in soap opera Melrose Place, and popular science fiction film Starship Troopers in 1997.

    He had his first television role in sitcom Who’s the Boss? before appearing in three episodes of Saved by the Bell in 1991.

    He was most prolific in the 1990s and 2000s, with his latest movie, Dirty Hands, set to be released later this year.

    Muldoon also executive produced a number of films including The Tribes of Palos Verdes, Arkansas, Marlowe, The Card Counter, The Dreadful, and Riff Raff.

    The most recent film he produced was called Kockroach, starring Aussie stars Chris Hemsworth and Taron Edgerton. This is currently being filmed.

    Muldoon is survived by his partner, Miriam Rothbart, his parents, Deanna and Patrick Muldoon Sr and his sister Shana.
