Coi Leray is opening up about motherhood on her first Mother’s Day.
The rapper shared a message on Instagram Sunday as she reflected on life with daughter Miyoco, whom she welcomed with rapper Trippie Redd last June.
“My first Mother’s Day,” Coi wrote. “No one talks about how hard it is to go from pregnancy then straight back to work.”
She continued, “Growing up with all boys, God knows I needed a Girl. 11 Months feels like it was just yesterday. My daughter has changed my life, my way of thinking, and how I view the world. Everything I do is for her.”
Coi also shared a few words for moms adjusting to motherhood.
“Be easy on yourself Moms,” she wrote. “You are all warriors and I’m proud to say we don’t look like what we’ve all been through”
Coi welcomed Miyoco on June 16, 2025.
Months later, the rapper shared a vlog about giving birth and revealed that she ended up having a C-section after her daughter’s heart rate dropped.
“It was not easy, but we did it,” she said.
“I was so scared ‘cause I just couldn’t imagine getting a C-section, but I’m so grateful for the doctors,” she continued. “They made me feel so comfortable, and it was very emotional, but all I cared about was her being healthy and coming out.”
Coi also opened up about seeing her daughter for the first time after the delivery.
“She’s so beautiful. Like, I’m obsessed with her. I love her so much. She’s so sweet, y’all.”
“My mom got to hold her first, ’cause you know when you get a C-section, you have to kind of lay there,” she added. “But then they bring her over to you and put her next to my face. And I was just so in shock. Like, I can’t believe I just had a baby. Like, this is my princess.”
