Andy Allen has just dished up some very exciting news: he’s a dad!
The MasterChef Australia judge and his wife Alexandra have welcomed their first child, a son named Jude Jackson Allen.
”Our perfect little boy was welcomed into the world on April 13th,” the couple announced in a joint Instagram post.
“Couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve created, we love you so much already!”
The Allens, who married in 2022, shared two photos – one of their newborn asleep and one of the couple holding him.
The couple had announced their pregnancy news in November, writing, “We’ve been cooking up something pretty special.”
Fellow Aussie food personalities and stars of MasterChef were among those who congratulated the Allens on Jude’s arrival in the comments.

“Congratulations mate!” Callum Hann wrote, while Sumeet Saigal said, “What a wonderful moment! Enjoy every bit of this new chapter! Labour has only just begun.”
“Congratulations Andy & Alex ! He is adorable, welcome to the club ❤️” Depinder Chhibber wrote.
The news comes two days after Allen’s MasterChef co-stars were joined on set by a special guest: Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.
On Wednesday, the duchess, who is in Australia for a four-day tour with Prince Harry, filmed a guest judge spot for the upcoming season of the cooking series.
The show’s Instagram account shared a photo of Meghan with judges Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli.
Allen missed the photoshoot due to the impending arrival of baby Jude, but he will return to the judging panel for this season.
