The boAt founder Aman Gupta has launched his new venture the OffBeat Studios. This was his first entrepreneurial move on his birthday after stepping down from day-to-day operations from boAt.
Sharing the update on the X account, Gupta said ‘Aman 2.0 begins soon’.
Gupta hasn’t revealed any details about his new venture. There is officially no information on the business model, funding structure, team and launch timeline.
What Does The OffBeat Studio Do?
Even though Gupta shared the official website of the OffBeats Studio, the landing page wasn’t showing anything but the logo.
It is not yet clear whether OffBeat Studios will maintain any strategic ties with Boat or function independently as a founder-led venture.
Gupta has been closely involved in Boat’s brand-building journey since its early days, playing a central role in shaping its marketing strategy. He is also widely known for his role as a judge on Shark Tank India, which significantly enhanced his visibility among entrepreneurs and younger consumers.
Gupta Steps Down From BoAt
Gupta, who recently relinquished his position as boAt’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), told that the decision had been planned well in advance. He added that leaving before boAt’s public listing was an ethical call aimed at safeguarding investor trust.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, the boAt co-founder said his exit from an executive role was aligned with a broader, long-term strategy to put a more professional management structure in place. He noted that the shift had been underway for several years, pointing to the appointment of an external CEO nearly three years ago.
