Forbes’ 39th Annual World’s Billionaires List reveals Elon Musk as the richest with $342 billion. The US leads with 902 billionaires. Mukesh Ambani is the richest Indian at $92.5 billion.

Forbes World’s Billionaire List 2025: Musk Leads With $342 Billion Net Worth, Combined Wealth At $16.1 Trillion Forbes released on 1 April its 39th Annual World’s Billionaires List, indicating the skyrocketing rise of wealth among the super-rich globally. Tech billionaire Elon Musk kept the crown with a net worth estimated at $342 billion. He added almost $147 billion to his fortune from the last time the previous edition was published.
The United States remains the hub of billionaires with a record number of 902, followed by China with 516 and India with 205.
Elite Of The Elite
Even in the billionaires list, some are richer than others. There are now three people whose net worth is more than $200 billion, while a total of 15 members have a net worth over $100 billion, making them the elite of the elite.
These 15 centibillionaires are worth $2.4 trillion – more than the bottom 1,500 billionaires combined.
New Faces In The Coveted List
According to the Forbes Billionaires List, 288 new people were added to the coveted list this time. Among the new faces are rock star Bruce Springsteen ($1.2 billion), movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger ($1.1 billion) and comedian Jerry Seinfeld ($1.1 billion).
The wealthiest newcomer of all is Marilyn Simons ($31 billion), the widow of hedge fund legend Jim Simons, who died in May. He was one of 32 billionaires who died over the past year.
Indians In The List
Mukesh Ambani, aged 67, secured the 18th spot on the Forbes World’s Billionaires List 2025 with a wealth of $92.5 billion from Reliance Industries. He is the richest Indian and the wealthiest Asian on the list.
Industrialist Gautam Adani, aged 62, ranked 28th with a fortune of $56.3 billion from the Adani Group. He is the second richest Indian and the fourth richest Asian, following China’s Zhang Yiming, aged 41, in 23rd place with $65.5 billion from TikTok parent ByteDance, and Zhong Shanshan, aged 70, in 26th place with $57.7 billion from Nongfu Spring.
