Tennis sensation Naomi Osaka and her boyfriend, rapper Cordae, have decided to part ways after a notable relationship that blended the worlds of sports and music.
Osaka and Cordae began dating in 2019 and have been an adorably united pair ever since, welcoming an adorable daughter, Shai, to the world in July 2023.
Recently, the 27-year-old announced on social media via an Instagram story that she and rapper Cordae have decided to go their separate ways.
“Hi everyone, just wanted to say that Cordae and I are no longer in a relationship,” Osaka wrote. “No bad blood at all; he’s a great person and an awesome dad.”

About a week ago, the Grand Slam champion shared a carousel of photos in a now deleted social media post of she and her little one, showcasing their special bond.
Osaka captioned the post, “2024 wrap but it’s pics of me and the cutest girl in the world.”

In a 2023 interview with InStyle Magazine, Osaka revealed that she had a myriad of complications throughout her pregnancy which included testing positive for Group B streptococcus, which is a bacterial infection that can give newborns meningitis or sepsis. The new mother also revealed that she labored for more than 12 hours.
She went on to admit to the outlet that pregnancy is “kind of rough.”
“I don’t think people know how hard pregnancy is; no one really talks about it as much,” she said. “Going into it, you kind of think, ‘Oh, it’s this beautiful journey.’ But it’s kind of rough.”
The talented athlete is back on the court, where on January 5, she played in the final of a WTA tournament in Auckland. During the the tournament, she suffered an abdominal injury, leading to her dropping out of the finals. Yet, knowing the indomitable spirit of Osaka, she will be back on the court better than ever before.
