As the 2024 F1 season winds down with just four races left this calendar year, drivers head to Sao Paulo this weekend for the Lenovo Sao Paulo Grand Prix which will be held on Sunday, November 3 in Brazil. The Brazilian Grand Prix, held at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace, consists of 71 laps around a 4.309-kilometer circuit. The official race starts at 12 p.m. ET on Sunday, but the action on the track kicks off with practices on Friday, Nov. 1, which you can catch all weekend across several channels, including ESPNU and ESPN2, and streaming on ESPN+.
This weekend’s field of drivers will include F1 leaders Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton, and Max Verstappen. Verstappen, driving for Red Bull, won the 2023 race in Sao Paulo, though he may face a setback this year, not only as he shakes off a 20 second penalty from his last race at the Mexico Grand Prix, but he’s also anticipating an engine penalty in Sao Paulo which will cost him five places on the grid. Verstappen, currently number one in the F1 rankings, leads McLaren’s Norris by 47 points ahead of this week’s race.
