Bengals could be impacted in free agency, trades by Colts’ move

While the Cincinnati Bengals are busy at the scouting combine this week, NFL news elsewhere might have an impact on them pretty soon.

In fact, some Indianapolis Colts news could sway how things play out in free agency for the Bengals.

    Or…perhaps in trade news.

While it was previously reported, the Colts finally made official the hiring of former Bengals defensive line coach Marion Hobby.

That means Hobby is the latest former member of the Bengals to link up with former coordinator Lou Anarumo. And it could impact how Hendrickson views free agency, or even how the Colts browse the trade market.

For now, the Bengals will gauge Hendrickson’s value around the NFL while attending the combine, then decide on whether to attempt a tag-and-trade deal. Perhaps the Colts would be interested in that scenario.
