Jennifer Lopez turned heads as she stepped out at the 16th Governors Awards in Los Angeles.
While the event honoured film legends like Tom Cruise, Debbie Allen, Wynn Thomas and Dolly Patron, Lawrence’s look stole the spotlight.
The Kiss of the SpiderWoman donned a blend of old-Hollywood look with a modern edge.
She wore strapless bodice, replicating a corset, shaped in a dramatic sweetheart neckline was laced down the back, creating the hourglass shape.
The back also featured a tightly laced corset closure. The black ribbon weaving against the pale fabric added contrast and depth, turning the back of the dress into its own visual moment.
The lower half of the gown flowed into voluminous, champagne-toned satin, pooling around her with a subtle sheen.
To elevate her look she wore black velvet opera gloves and shiny diamond earrings.
She styled her hair in a loosely swept up style with face-framing strands, creating an effortless counterpoint to the structure of the gown. Meanwhile her makeup was warm around the eyes, a hint of glow in her skin and a glossy neutral lip that completed the look.
Lopez’s overall impression dominated the ceremony making it one of the most memorable dress out of her countless show stopping dresses.
