Why Jacoby Brissett is Cardinals’ starting QB in place of Kyler Murray

    -

The Arizona Cardinals are facing a tough opponent on Sunday.

It’s the Green Bay Packers on the opposite sideline in Week 7.

And the Cardinals have to do it without their starting quarterback, Kyler Murray.

It’s Jacoby Brissett getting the call for the Cards against the Packers.

The long-time Patriots and Colts QB is in his first year with Arizona.

Why is Jacoby Brissett the Cardinals’ QB and not Kyler Murray?

Brissett is starting because Murray is injured.

Murray was officially ruled out for Sunday with a mid-foot sprain.

This is the second week Murray has missed in a row.

Brissett made his first start for the Cards in Week 6.

The Cardinals dialed up a lot of passing for Brissett in that one. He was 27-for-44 passing for 320 yards and two touchdowns while throwing one interception.

The Packers may provide a similar test as the Colts did for Arizona a week ago, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Brissett out there chucking it again.
