The NFC South has tons of potential, but a lack of consistency
After ranking the NFC South’s top wide receivers, we now turn our attention to the tight end room–a group where raw talent often outweighs actual production. Many of the division’s top tight ends boast elite physical traits and high-level receiving ability, yet several have struggled to put it all together consistently. Injuries have also played a role in holding some of these players back. Despite the inconsistency, the potential is undeniable, making this one of the more intriguing positional groups to watch heading into the 2025 season.

Tremble is a tough, reliable blocker with some athletic upside, but he’s yet to emerge as a consistent receiving threat.
6. Ja’Tavion Sanders, Carolina Panthers
Sanders showed some flashes during his rookie season, as an exceptional run-after-catch target with unique traits.
A dependable depth piece with reliable hands, Moreau does the dirty work and brings toughness to the Saints’ tight end rotation.
4. Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints
A true weapon in this division, Hill’s versatility as a runner, blocker and short yardage pass catcher makes him a tough task for opposing defenses.
3. Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints
When available, Johnson is a mismatch nightmare–his blend of size and athleticism lets him win both on underneath routes and downfield shots.
Otton has steadily improved year after year and has earned the label as the most reliable do-it-all tight end in the division, contributing as a blocker, possession target, and red zone option.
The most talented player at his position, Pitts possesses rare athleticism and receiving ability–if he can find consistency, the sky is the limit for him.
