One of the most crucial elements to every NFL franchise is its ability to connect to fans and get them to show up to games year in and year out. The New Orleans Saints have been strong at this, as even in their worst years, the people of New Orleans recognize the importance of the franchise and show appreciation when the team puts in the effort.
While the last few years for the Saints have been tough to watch, fans have continued to show up, and in 2025, it was a bit of a mixed bag comparatively. While the team did not rank among the top half of the league in home attendance, they were not last or within the bottom five, which, for a season such as this, is pretty good. The late resurgence of the roster certainly helped, as home fans started showing up in droves to watch Tyler Shough tear things up.

According to the metrics provided by ESPN and confirmed in follow-up figures from Pro Football Reference, New Orleans ranked No. 23 in terms of home attendance in the NFL this year. While there is a bit of back and forth surrounding some of the other teams and the calculations, both sites confirm the Saints had an attendance number at home of 560,290.
In terms of road attendance shared by ESPN, New Orleans actually sat at No. 15, which is quite surprising given many of their games were not all that intriguing of matchups down the stretch until Shough took over. This led to them finishing No. 16 in total attendance with 1,155,637 total fans.
The difficult part with these numbers is that they do not factor in the split between Saints fans and away fans that attended the home games; it is just one full-scale number, which is difficult, as early on, there was certainly a large contingent of away fans coming in. Regardless, it is good to see them not hanging in the bottom of the league yet, and with a good offseason, hopefully things will trend back upwards in 2026.
