Diego Pavia stats from Vanderbilt win over LSU
Diego Pavia helped lead Vanderbilt football to a win against LSU, 31-24.
Pavia was the star of the game, leading the Commodores with both his arm and his legs. The catalyst for the win, Pavia bounced back from a relatively down performance against LSU. Pavia’s performance helped notch Vanderbilt bowl eligibility for the second straight year.

Pavia was 14-for-22 for 160 yards and a touchdown passing and had 17 carries for 86 yards and two touchdowns rushing. He took one sack and did not have a turnover.

Pavia ran for a 21-yard touchdown in the third quarter to put Vanderbilt up, 31-21. Pavia hit the Heisman pose after the score.
Diego Pavia’s worst: The sack on fourth down
Pavia’s only bad play was when he took a sack on a 4th-and-1 in Vanderbilt’s territory in the second quarter. That sack allowed LSU to kick a field goal before halftime, though the Commodores responded with a field goal of their own.
Grade: A
Pavia managed a very strong two-way performance, arguably his best of the season. Certainly, this was the best opponent Pavia has beaten since a win over Alabama last season when the Crimson Tide was ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press Poll.
