USA TODAY Sports focuses on the southern half of the U.S., announcing the ALL-USA Southeast Boys Basketball Team and highlighting a group of high school athletes who have made the region one of the best in the country.

A region known for its rich football history, the Southeast has quickly become a basketball-rich area, producing several of the top NBA stars we know today.

The future looks even brighter, given the current crop of elite high school talent playing in the region.

Each player selected to the Southeast roster is automatically a finalist for the ALL-USA National Boys Basketball Team, USA TODAY Sports’ All-American list that debuted in 1982. The national team will be revealed in early April.

The Southeast Region encompasses athletes from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
