Texas coach Steve Sarkisian walked into an absolutely terrible situation at his SEC Media Days availability on Tuesday in Atlanta.
Somehow, the Texas A&M fight song played as he walked out for his time slot as opposed to the Texas fight song. If you’re not aware, Texas and Texas A&M have a huge, huge rivalry between each other.
This is an epic gaffe for the SEC Media Days team to play this song of all songs during Sark’s entrance.
We’re sure Aggies fans across the country delighted in seeing their hated rival’s coach walk out at an event to the Texas A&M fight song. We’re also sure Texas fans will be recoiling in terror for weeks after seeing this.
Poor Sarkisian. He’s the real loser in this, as he had no control over a clip that will undoubtedly make the rounds for the entire 2025 college football season.
At least his quarterback is Arch Manning, so he’s got that going for him.
