Monday was an off day for the Pittsburgh Steelers at training camp. After four straight practices, Pittsburgh gave the players a day of rest before they put the pads on for Tuesday’s practice. Just because the players had the days off doesn’t mean the coaches weren’t still busy.
According to the league transaction report, the Steelers have five free agents in for workouts.
Here is the list of players the Steelers brought in:
Tight end – Baylor Cupp – Texas Tech
Tight end – Kevin Foelsch – New Haven
Running back – Jarveon Howard – Alcorn State
Running back – Lew Nichols – Central Michigan
Tight end – Thomas Yassmin – Utah
The Steelers released veteran running back Cordarrelle Patterson on Monday after he missed the team’s first four training camp practices. Starting on Tuesday, the Steelers will prepare for their preseason debut on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
