Steelers sign LS after Christian Kuntz added to injury report

    -

On Friday, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced a pair of roster moves. The team released linebacker Kana’i Mauga from the practice squad and replaced him with former Pitt long snapper Cal Adomitis. This is in response to Steelers starting long snapper Christian Kuntz popping up on the Thursday practice report with a knee injury.

Admoitis spent his first three seasons as the full-time long snapper for the Cincinnati Bengals. He was waived by them after the 2024 season and then signed by the Philadelphia Eagles for the start of the 2025 season. Adomitis was the long snapper this season for Philadelphia for the first nine games before being released just over a week ago. Fans were divided about the move.

If Kuntz cannot go against the Detroit Lions this week, Adomitis will be pressed into duty in a hurry.
