The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed the former Browns defender ahead of their Week 6 AFC North showdown with Cleveland — DE KJ Henry, who was previously brought in for a workout on Wednesday.
Following news that Pittsburgh had hosted four free agents for workouts and visits on Saturday, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that the Steelers were signing Henry to their practice squad ahead of their Week 6 matchup against the Browns.
Selected by the Commanders with the 137th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Henry appeared in 10 games during his rookie season but was ultimately released by Washington in August 2024.
After short stints with the Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, and Philadelphia Eagles, Henry spent training camp with the Cleveland Browns — quickly cementing himself as a preseason standout.
