Saints should pick a star WR in draft’s first round

    -

If you ask Cameron Jordan what he wants the New Orleans Saints to acquire, nine times out of ten it will be another defensive lineman. It’ll vary between a defensive tackle or defensive end, but Jordan asking for running mates in his position group is the commonality.

Jordan recently changed his tune on social media and advocated for New Orleans picking a running mate for Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed. Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan has been a fan favorite for the Saints in the first round, and Jordan is a part of that contingent.

When a fan asked Jordan he would want the Saints to draft at No. 9, Jordan did him one better than a position group and gave a specific player. He responded with a video clip of one of McMillan’s highlights.

McMillan is the big-body receiver many have clamored for. He has the frame that would make him a 50/50 jump ball specialist. He shouldn’t be limited to just being a big receiver, though. McMillan dominated the collegiate game due to his blend of size and speed. He’s a threat downfield as well as with the ball in his hands. McMillan would be a welcomed addition to the receiving corp and would increase the ceiling of the room. The idea of McMillan, Olave and Shaheed has the potential to be one of the emerging receiving corps in the NFL.
