The transfer portal opened on Monday with a flurry of activity. Here are the biggest transfer announcements from day seven of the 2025 transfer portal cycle.

PORTAL IS OPEN: Latest news, notes and analysis

MORE TRANSFER PORTAL: Latest news | Transfer search | Transfer Team Ranking | Football Player Ranking

    1. WR MICAH HUDSON

Hudson is an absolutely massive addition for Texas A&M. The five-star receiver is the top ranked player in the transfer portal rankings and was a five-star in the loaded 2024 high school recruiting class. Hudson signed with Texas Tech out of high school, becoming the highest ranked signee in Red Raider history, but his freshman season did not play out how he expected. He saw limited snaps in seven games this season and was only targeted 13 times according to PFF. Hudson’s talent was undeniable as a high school prospect and a fresh start may be just what he needs. Texas A&M certainly needed to upgrade their receiving corps and now they have an elite talent in Hudson to make things easier for Marcel Reed next season.

    2. QB BEAU PRIBULA

Penn State is preparing for a College Football Playoff run but the Nittany Lions are going to have to make their way without Pribula. The Pennsylvania native wasn’t a normal backup quarterback. Pribula played in almost every game over the past two seasons despite Drew Allar’s strong grip on the starting role. Pribula was viewed as more of a running threat instead of a passer and the stats back that up. In two years he had 10 rushing touchdowns on 6.4 yards per carry versus 37 completions for 424 passing yards and nine touchdowns through the air. Pribula’s immediate departure from Penn State eliminates an important dimension of their offense at the worst possible time on the calendar.

    3. DB JULIAN HUMPHREY

Texas A&M has been one of the most active programs since the transfer portal opened almost a week ago and their efforts are paying off. Former five-star Julian Humphrey visited College Station this weekend and ended up committing on Sunday morning. The Aggies prioritized upgrading in the secondary and Humphrey has the talent to make a difference for Texas A&M. He has found it difficult at times to get consistent playing time at Georgia because of the depth of defensive back talent the Bulldogs continue to bring in every year.

    4. QB MICHAEL VAN BUREN

Former Mississippi State quarterback Michael Van Buren has found a new home in Baton Rouge. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound prospect will have three years of eligibility remaining at LSU. Van Buren outplayed expectations this season in Starkville, starting eight games and throwing for 1,886 yards and 16 touchdowns. He’ll have a year to get acclimated at LSU since Garrett Nussmeier is returning for another year.

    5. DB THERAN JOHNSON

Oregon continues to upgrade in the secondary. On Saturday the Ducks added top-ranked transfer defensive back Dillon Thieneman and on Sunday Johnson jumped on board after spending his first four years with Northwestern. Johnson has one year of eligibility remaining but during his time with the Wildcats he became known as one of the best cornerbacks in the Big Ten. The second team All-Big Ten selection had two interceptions and eight pass breakups this season according to PFF.

    6. WR OMARI KELLY

Kelly is back at the Power Four level after initially signing with Auburn in the 2022 class and then spending this past season at Middle Tennessee State. He had a breakout season with 53 receptions, 869 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He also added eight punt returns for 83 yards and a touchdown. Kelly’s knack for making big plays down the field should fit in well at Michigan State.

    7. WR NOBLE JOHNSON

Big 12 Champion Arizona State is prepping for a College Football Playoff run and the Sun Devils are recruiting like they’re going to crash the party again next season. They picked up a commitment from Johnson on Sunday at the end of a weekend visit to Tempe. Johnson, who has three years of eligibility remaining, will have plenty of time to develop a strong relationship with quarterback Sam Leavitt and receivers coach Hines Ward in preparation for next season.

    8. OL XAVIER CHALIN

Adding an offensive tackle was a priority for Auburn in this transfer portal window so getting Chaplin on board before he was able to take more recruiting visits was a big win for Hugh Freeze. Chaplin was a largely unheralded high school prospect and didn’t emerge until late in the recruiting process. In three years at Virginia Tech and two seasons as a starter, Chaplin developed into a top-10 offensive tackle in the ACC according to PFF.

    9. QB DANIEL KAELIN

Virginia and head coach Tony Elliott needed to bring in a quarterback during this transfer window after losing last season’s starter Anthony Colandrea to the portal. Kaelin gives the Cavaliers a quarterback with huge upside and four years of eligibility remaining. As a high school prospect, Kaelin showed the ability to deliver accurate passes from the pocket and while on the move. He should be able to challenge for playing time this coming season.

    10. RB KANYE UDOH

Army was the talk of a large portion of this past season and now the program is losing Udoh, the team’s second leading rusher, to the transfer portal. The New Jersey native has departed West Point and has a quartet of visits lined up for this week. Udoh will visit Missouri on Wednesday, SMU on Thursday, Arizona State on Friday and North Carolina on Saturday. After racking up 1,111 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground this year, Udoh will surely have additional suitors before he ends up committing.
