After spending the week practicing at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland, the Los Angeles Rams flew overnight to London, England, for their Week 7 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
On Saturday, the Rams announced one roster move, as they elevated running back Ronnie Rivers from the practice squad.
Rivers, 26, played collegiately at Fresno State from 2017-21, rushing for 3,417 yards and 40 touchdowns on 5.1 yards per carry while catching 150 passes for another 1,417 yards and 11 scores. He signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and spent part of his first offseason with the Seattle Seahawks before landing on the Rams’ practice squad in September of his rookie year.
Since then, Rivers has appeared in 34 games for Los Angeles over the last three years, rushing for 249 yards on 4.0 yards per attempt and catching 15 passes for 85 yards.
While Rams running backs Kyren Williams and Jarquez Hunter haven’t been on the injury report, Blake Corum has been dealing with an ankle injury that caused him to miss the first practice of the week and to be limited in the second. Corum didn’t have an injury designation going into the weekend, but Los Angeles may give him more rest than normal.
This is Rivers’ first elevation of the season, meaning the team can call him up two more times.
