The field for the PGA Championship at Valhalla is set.
Each of the top 103 players in the Official World Golf Ranking as of last week were invited to Louisville, Kentucky, including No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. S.H. Kim, who stood at No. 107, didn’t originally get an invite but got in on the alternate list when Rory McIlroy, who was already in the PGA field, won the Wells Fargo Championship.
Chris Gotterup, meanwhile, won the opposite-field Myrtle Beach Classic to punch his ticket to the season’s second major.
LIV Golf has 16 players in the field. Joining defending champion Brooks Koepka (37th in the world when the field was initially announced) are Jon Rahm (5), Tyrrell Hatton (17), Cam Smith (56), Adrian Meronk (63), Lucas Herbert (89), Joaquin Niemann (91), Patrick Reed (92), David Puig (106), Bryson DeChambeau (117), Dean Burmester (130), Phil Mickelson (158), Andy Ogletree (214), Dustin Johnson (379), Martin Kaymer (4,317) and Talor Gooch (644).
