Massimiliano Allegri confirms that Niclas Fullkrug and Strahinja Pavlović won’t be available against Como, while Rafael Leao ‘is fine’ and Santiago Gimenez won’t return to action until ‘the end of March.’

Milan are preparing for a Serie A game against Como on Thursday.

It’s a rescheduled game from Week 16, which was not played back in December with Milan involved in the Supercoppa Italiana alongside Napoli, Inter and Bologna.

Milan are unbeaten in 18 league games, but collected draws against Genoa and Fiorentina in the previous two rounds.

“Fullkrug is out, along with Pavlovic, who has nine stitches in his head,” Allegri said via Milannews.

“Fullkrug has a heavy knock on his toe that will keep him out today. Hopefully, he’ll be back on Sunday, otherwise against Roma.”

Italian sources claimed in recent days that Rafael Leao could miss the game due to an adductor problem, but Allegri said, “Rafa is fine,” which means the Portuguese is expected to start tomorrow.

Mexico international Gimenez has been out of action for several weeks, and his return to action is still far away.

“Gimenez is progressing well, but he’s still a long way from returning,” Allegri concluded.

“We’ll talk about it again in March, towards the end of March.”
