Michigan football has been on an absolute tear on the recruiting trail and it looks like the Wolverines will continue to add blue-chip prospects to the 2026 class.
On Sunday, the maize and blue added five-star edge rusher Carter Meadows and on Monday, they added four-star cornerback Andre Clarke. Is another commitment on the way soon?
Also on Monday, head coach Sherrone Moore put out two posts on X (formerly Twitter) indicating that Michigan football had garnered two new commitments. With several targets set to decide this week, might it be one of those or someone a little more off the beaten path?
It could be the latter, though there’s no telling for sure. However, one prospect who looked destined elsewhere appears to now be trending to Ann Arbor.
On3’s Steve Wiltfong, who has correctly predicted many of Michigan’s recent commitments, just changed his prediction that Irma (S.C.) Dutch Fork four-star edge rusher Julian Walker would end up committing to South Carolina to the Wolverines.

After talking to Columbia (SC) Dutch Fork four-star edge rusher Julian Walker and a couple other sources regarding the recruitment, I’ve moved my prediction from South Carolina to the Wolverines.
The Wolverines already have three edge rushers committed in the aforementioned Meadows, four-star McHale Blade, and three-star Tariq Boney. The move with Walker is particularly notable, not just because of the current state of the class but also because his father works on the strength staff for the Gamecocks — the school that previously had Wiltfong’s prediction.
At this juncture, there’s no indication as to a timeline for Walker’s seemingly impending decision.
