Michigan football: OC Chip Lindsey a candidate for Missouri staff

    -

At this juncture, Michigan football has lost its head coach, but there’s been essentially no attrition — players and coaches alike — to this point. However, with the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl forthcoming, that very well could change in a hurry.

Given the uncertainty in Ann Arbor — especially after Kalen DeBoer appearing to be sticking at Alabama and Kenny Dillingham re-upping with Arizona State — it stands to reason that current Wolverines coaches could look for other opportunities. Among them appears to be offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey, who is ‘a leading candidate’ for Eliah Drinkwitz’ Missouri.

Lindsey was hired this offseason to get the most out of Bryce Underwood, but appears to have been hampered a bit by head coach edicts. The former North Carolina offensive coordinator only showed a limited version of what his offense had looked like in the past, though there are rumblings that it will more closely mirror his vision with Moore now out of the way.

Drinkwitz, the Missouri coach, may be one to watch for the Michigan football job, as well. But, at the current moment, everything is uncertain.
