The NCAA women’s tournament continues with second-round action on Sunday to determine which teams advance to the Sweet 16.
Top-seeded Texas takes the court on Sunday, while No. 2 seeds Michigan and LSU also play on their home court against No. 7 seeds.

The games between No. 4 and No. 5 seeds might be the most intriguing of the day, with Maryland playing North Carolina, Ole Miss facing Minnesota and Michigan State against Oklahoma.

Must-see: Baylor vs. Duke
The Blue Devils opened their season with a 58-52 loss to the Bears at the Oui-Play event in Paris. Duke went on to win the ACC, while Baylor finished third in the Big 12. The Bears trailed No. 11 Nebraska, 53-48, with five minutes left in their first-round game before recovering to advance, 67-62. Meanwhile, Duke easily dispatched Charleston, 81-64.
Must-skip: Washington vs. TCU
This could be Sunday’s most lopsided matchup. The Huskies defeated No. 11 South Dakota State decisively in the first round. But they struggled in the Big Ten during the regular season while the Horned Frogs won the Big 12. TCU demolished UC San Diego, 86-40, on Friday.

Washington also allowed SDSU forward Brooklyn Meyer to score 29 points, which could bode well for TCU’s Marta Suarez, who averaged 17.4 points during the regular season.
Most likely upset: Texas Tech vs. LSU
Seedings aside, is a No. 5 defeating a No. 4 truly an upset? Let’s look instead at one of the 7-2 matchups. Texas Tech entered the NCAA tournament after losing to Kansas State in the Big 12 conference tourney. And the Red Raiders grappled with Villanova before winning their first-round game, 57-52.
But Texas Tech is battle-tested from the Big 12, and the biggest knock against LSU is losing to its toughest opponents in South Carolina and Texas. Bailey Maupin could present a problem for the Tigers’ defense. She scored 17 points versus Villanova and led the Red Raiders in scoring during the season.
Players to watch
Michigan G Olivia Olson vs. NC State
Olivias could rule the day on Sunday in the NCAA women’s tournament. NC State’s Zoe Brooks sustained a foot injury in the third quarter of the Wolfpack’s victory over Tennessee and did not return. She didn’t practice on Saturday and coach Wes Moore said her status against Michigan is uncertain. Not having to worry about Brooks on defense could set up Olson for a big day. The sophomore guard led the Wolverines with 18.9 points per game.

TCU G Olivia Miles vs. Washington
Against UC San Diego, Miles took a secondary role to backcourt mate Taylor Bigby, who scored 27 points. However, she did register a triple-double with 12 points, 16 rebounds and 14 assists. If Bigby stays hot, Miles might be content to be a playmaker again. But with Bigby possibly drawing more defensive attention after her breakout performance, that might free Miles up for a bigger scoring night.
