LeBron James has become a hot topic of conversation around the NBA. With all of the new reports surrounding his relationship with the Los Angeles Lakers souring, there has been a lot of speculation that he could be traded. Could a return to the Cleveland Cavaliers be possible?
That is one potential destination that has been thrown around in the rumor mill.
Now, James has sparked the rumors even more. Nick Pedone, a well-known sports figure in Cleveland, took to X to share the latest rumblings that have fans buzzing.
In a new post on social media, James was wearing a hat that said, “Welcome Home.” Could that be hinting at a return to the Cavaliers for a third stint with the franchise?
Pedone suggested that in his post.
“Rumors of LeBron James golfing in Northeast Ohio circulated this morning and now he posts himself wearing a ‘Welcome Home’ hat,” Pedone wrote. “LeBron Watch 2025 is on.”

Fans did not waste time rushing to the comments section to let their thoughts be known. There was a very split reaction to the idea of James returning to Cleveland.
“The Cavs are a loaded team…… And LeBron wants another ring……….,” one fan wrote.
Another fan chimed in, “Good lord here we go.”
“LeBron loves trolling. I would take with a total grain of salt,” a third comment said.
A fourth comment read, “No thanks.”
“Thanks for 2016 but it’s a new Cavs’ turn, bron,” another comment stated.
James is still playing at a high level. During the 2024-25 NBA season with the Los Angeles Lakers, he played in 70 games and averaged 24.4 points, 8.2 assists, 7.8 rebounds, and a steal per game while shooting 51.3% from the floor and 37.6% from the three-point line.
A return to Cleveland would be massive news, but no real connections have had the Cavaliers wanting to pursue a trade for LeBron.
