There’s good news on the injury front for the Denver Broncos going into Week 7.
Broncos inside linebacker Dre Greenlaw (quad) returned to practice on Wednesday after sitting out the first six games of the season. Greenlaw has now activated a 21-day window to return from injured reserve. If he is not activated within three weeks, Greenlaw will be required to remain on IR for the rest of the season.
Denver coach Sean Payton does not like to discuss injuries, but he did say that Greenlaw had a “good day.”
“He’s been working out, he’s been rehabbing, and today was a good day,” Payton said after practice.
Elsewhere on the injury front, outside linebacker Jonah Elliss (shoulder/ribs) was back at practice after sitting out last week’s game, but fellow edge defender Jonathon Cooper worked on a side field. The Broncos’ final injury report will be added below when it becomes available later today.
Denver will practice again on Thursday and Friday before releasing a final injury report with game statuses for Sunday’s showdown with the New York Giants.
