Kolkata Knight Riders’ bowlers produced a disciplined collective performance to restrict Rajasthan Royals to 151/9 in their IPL encounter on Wednesday.

Winning the toss and opting to field first, KKR exploited the slow pitch conditions at Guwahati effectively, led by Varun Chakravarthy, Moeen Ali, and Vaibhav Arora, who shared six wickets between them.

Chakravarthy was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with 2/17 from four overs, while Moeen returned 2/23. Seamer Arora chipped in with 2/33, using clever variations in pace.

Harshit Rana also contributed with two wickets, helping stifle RR’s batting line-up despite a promising start by Yashasvi Jaiswal (29 off 24) and Riyan Parag (25 off 15).

The top-scorer for the Royals was Dhruv Jurel, who played a measured knock of 33 off 28 balls, but lacked support from the middle and lower order.

Despite early momentum, Rajasthan were unable to capitalise, with KKR’s attack maintaining control throughout the innings.
