This week, Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. spoke with retired New England Patriots legend Julian Edelman.

In his interview with Easton Jr., Edelman discussed the unveiling of the new 2027 INFINITI QX65 and shared his thoughts on being a two-way player and the ascension of a Kansas City Chiefs’ rival, the Jacksonville Jaguars, in the AFC.

“In football, you’ve got to have the right team in place going in the right direction with the same goal for things actually to happen. It looks like it has,” said Edelman. The 2027 INFINITI QX65 is an all-new two-row midsize luxury SUV with a sporty fastback design, a thoughtfully crafted interior, and rewarding performance.

Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski and Edelman recently joined up with INFINITI to introduce the all-new 2027 QX65. Prepared to appear like a typical day at Grand Central Terminal in New York City, the all-new QX65 emerged from cover with a flourish, dramatically unveiled in one of the world’s largest and busiest transport hubs.

INFINITI dramatically revealed the all-new 2027 QX65 in a star-studded, one-of-a-kind moment at Grand Central Terminal in New York City. The all-new QX65, a daring two-row midsize luxury SUV that signals the next step in INFINITI’s ongoing product renaissance, made its first public appearance inside Vanderbilt Hall. Former pro athletes Rob ā€œGronkā€ Gronkowski and Julian Edelman arrived on scene for the moment the covers came off the all-new 2027 INFINITI QX65.

Edelman earned praise throughout his career for being versatile, thriving in every phase of the game. A tactic that worked early in his career, as he shares his thoughts on Jaguars standout Travis Hunter’s ongoing journey to be a two-way player full-time.

“It definitely takes a toll on your body. I think with everyone mentally, it’s a lot for a young football player who’s trying to learn a whole new offense, which there’s a lot of nuances of, especially with (Jaguars Head Coach) Liam Cohen offense, I know that he’s got a lot of guys, a lot of moving parts, motions, personnel groups, formations, all that stuff.” said Edelman, “And then you have to learn a whole new defense and then each week, what time are you going to put towards defense in meetings, and what time are you going to put in offense? You have a really bright individual who can digest all that.”

Edelman played many snaps at defensive back in certain packages early in his career, including Week 11 in 2011 on Monday Night Football against the Chiefs, where he played in nickel and dime situations. The former college quarterback also returned a punt 72 yards for a touchdown.

“I think mentally, it’s a lot, because you’re not going out there and playing against Louisiana Lafayette Tech School, you’re playing against a professional on both sides of those balls, who are dedicating their whole time into trying to beat you on whatever side of the ball you’re on. It takes a lot, but he showed a lot of promise,” said Edelman. “Hopefully, he can stay healthy.” Travis Hunter, and I’m excited to see what he does this year because they have a great football team. The addition of Jakobi Meyers got Travis really comfortable. They got on the outside of Brian Thomas Jr, which I think Jakobi Meyers opened him up to play the kind of ball he wants on the outside of those numbers. Jakobi eats in the middle. He also got tight ends. I mean, they got a lot of fun stuff, so it’ll be interesting to see what they do with Travis.”

During his rookie season, Hunter played in seven games before an LCL injury ended his campaign early. On offense, he tallied 28 catches for 298 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, he recorded 15 tackles and three pass deflections. In the Jaguars’ Week 5 victory over the Chiefs, the Heisman Trophy winner finished with 3 receptions for 64 yards and 2 tackles on defense.
