The Detroit Pistons’ game against the Charlotte Hornets devolved into a brawl midway through the third quarter at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

With a little over seven minutes remaining in the quarter, Charlotte big Moussa Diabate and Detroit big Jalen Duren began tussling, with Duren appearing to make contact with Diabate’s head. That sparked a response from Diabate, and quickly brought coaches from both benches to attempt to calm the fracas.

Charlotte Hornets forward Moussa Diabaté (14) tries for a block on the shot by Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham (2) during the second quarter at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026.

As Bridges was hustled away, Pistons big Isaiah Stewart came off the bench and got into a fight with Bridges.

Once all players were separated, two Pistons – Duren and Stewart – and two Hornets – Bridges and Diabate – were given fighting fouls, which come with an automatic ejection.
