Detroit Lions DE Al-Quadin Muhammad on the importance of practice
Muhammad might have a bigger role for the Lions against the Baltimore Ravens if DE Marcus Davenport can’t play due to injury.
Detroit Lions kicker Jake Bates was only a few feet from history on Monday, Sept. 22, against the Baltimore Ravens.
With just 2 seconds left in the first half of their “Monday Night Football” game, Dan Campbell decided to give it a shot from 67 yards, which would’ve beat the record held by former Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, ironically, set against the Lions in September 2021.
Right off Bates’ foot, the kick looked good and like it had a chance, but it ended up missing just left, even though it had the leg.
The kick would’ve given the Lions a three-point lead, but instead they entered the half tied with the Ravens, 14-14.
