The Minnesota Vikings were ruled out of playoff contention on Sunday afternoon when the Chicago Bears beat up the Cleveland Browns. The Vikings will now go from having a record of 14-3 the season before to where they find themselves now. However, they can play spoiler to other teams who remain in the hunt, like the Cowboys or Detroit Lions, who are on the schedule.
However, things are not going to be easy to play spoiler without the team being healthy. One of the more lingering issues for the team has been the health of franchise tackle Christian Darrisaw.

He tore ligaments in his knee in 2024, and while he was able to have surgery and make it back this season, he has not been 100%. That leads us to Week 15, where he was questionable coming into the game and has now been officially ruled out for the team’s matchup with the Cowboys.
Darrisaw’s knee still being an issue in Week 15 leads to more questions needing to be asked, as if this is going to be a long-term issue, or if it needs to be cleaned up during the offseason. With the team being ruled out of the playoffs, it would not be surprising to see him not play again this year to avoid risking a significant re-aggravation.
