Iowa football in striking distance of US LBM Coaches Poll

    -

The Iowa Hawkeyes moved to 4-2 on the year with a 2-1 mark in Big Ten play in their 37-0 romping over the Wisconsin Badgers in Week 7. Iowa was moving the ball on the ground, playing great defense, and put together one of its best and complete games of the year in Madison.

Up next for Iowa is a Big Ten matchup inside Kinnick Stadium against Penn State that has suddenly become one of the most intriguing games in the country. Ahead of their matchup against the Iowa Hawkeyes, Penn State has fired its long-time head coach, James Franklin, after a disastrous 2025 season that has seen everything go wrong in Happy Valley.

Ahead of the matchup, Iowa has crept back into the category of receiving votes in the US LBM Coaches Poll and has another shot to near the rankings this week.
