It’s that time of year again, when we start hearing about some of the great fantasy football punishments being served before another new season gets underway in a few months. On Saturday, we got wind of a truly good one thanks to a thread on X that kept us updated all the way through its completion.
The punishment, as shared by @Tyre_94, was for the fantasy loser to cross the wide channel of a lake in their hometown — on a raft of their own making. Which is just brutal enough on its own. What made this punishment all the more special is that the person who served it is the person who concocted it, surely not thinking it’d backfire in this way.
The league had each manager come up with a punishment and the loser had to spin a wheel to see which one they’d have to do. They just so happened to land on their own.
So, how did it go? First, here’s a look at the raft the loser created (in two hours?), which is actually kind of impressive. The broomstick oars and American flag sail are an especially nice touch.
And here’s a look at the lake he had to cross. This video really crystallized just how hard of a challenge this was. It’s a lot of water to traverse on a makeshift boat.
And unsurprisingly, the boat flipped almost immediately. LOL.
But progress was eventually made.
And we’re proud to announce that after roughly an hour and 45 minutes, he made it!
What a journey. What a punishment.
