ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler interviewed NFL executives, coaches and scouts to have them rank the top 10 players at 11 positions going into the 2025 NFL season.
Broncos outside linebacker Nik Bonitto, defensive lineman Zach Allen and safety Brandon Jones got honorable mentions at their respective positions, and safety Talanoa Hufanga also received at least one vote.
Joining the growing list of honorable mentions is Denver tight end Evan Engram, who an unnamed NFC executive described to ESPN as follows: “Persistent matchup issue due to his athletic ability and explosive plays. He’s gotten more polished and dependable throughout his career.”
Engram was fourth in a list of seven honorable mentions this year behind the top ten tight ends on the list: Brock Bowers, George Kittle, Sam LaPorta, Trey McBride, Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, T.J. Hockenson, Isaiah Likely, Dallas Goedert and David Njoku (view the full story on ESPN).
Engram ranked ninth on the list last year and eighth in 2023. He’s coming off an injury-riddled 2024 campaign but he is now healthy going into the 2025 season with the Broncos. If he returns to his pre-injury form, perhaps Engram will crack the top ten list again in 2026.
