The Los Angeles Dodgers are closing out their opening series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday before getting the day off on Sunday.
The Dodgers are off to a perfect start on the season, going 2-0 during the first two games of the season, an impressive feat for a team that is also celebrating past success.

Over the past two days, the Dodgers have rolled out their back-to-back World Series trophies and gotten their championship rings, all while turning the page and focusing back on the field.
Now, with the celebrations out of the way, the team is looking to complete their first sweep of the season and pick up a total set of division wins to defend their National League West title.

The offense has been quite boom-or-bust over the first two games, having big innings and moments, but struggles to put together multiple innings of offense.
Luckily, the pitching for Los Angeles has been quality, limiting the Arizona offense to just six runs in two games, with the bullpen doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

Additionally, the Dodgers have managed to win games without much from the top of the lineup. Rather, the bottom of the order has been the spark offensively, pressuring opposing pitchers and allowing players like Will Smith, Mookie Betts, and Kyle Tucker to deliver.
Saturday will see the season debut of Santiago Espinal, who had a blistering Spring Training and cemented a spot on the Opening Day roster.
He will be platooning against left-handed pitchers to give Max Muncy a breather at third base.
Muncy’s absence leads to a reshuffling of the order for the first time, with the only change between the first and second games being a straight swap of Alex Freeland for Miguel Rojas.

The Dodgers will be facing lefty Eduardo Rodriguez, who is two years removed from an impressive season with the Tigers, but his move to Arizona has been riddled with injuries and walks, and he has a propensity to allow home runs.
